These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Praxis mobile application (“Praxis” or the “App”) and related services provided by Milky Way Labs. Please read them carefully.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About Praxis

Praxis is a mobile application that helps dental professionals track procedures, patient visits, and earnings across multiple practices. The App stores your practice data locally on your device.

Not a medical record system. Praxis is a personal productivity tool, not an electronic health record (EHR), HIPAA-compliant platform, or substitute for professional record-keeping required by your employer, regulator, or licensing body. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter and for complying with applicable laws and professional standards.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account registration

Certain features require an account. You may sign in using supported providers such as Apple or Google, or passkeys where available. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@milkywaylabs.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Access to the App requires an active subscription after account sign-in, unless otherwise stated in the App.

4.1 Plans and pricing

Praxis offers auto-renewing subscription plans, which may include:

  • Monthly plan — billed monthly after any applicable free trial.
  • Annual plan — billed annually after any applicable free trial.

Current prices are shown in the App at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change for new subscribers.

4.2 Free trial

Eligible new subscribers may receive a one (1) month free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your Apple ID payment method will be charged at the then-current rate.

Cancel anytime during the free trial to avoid being charged for that billing period.

4.3 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

4.4 Managing and canceling

Payment, billing, and cancellation are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to:

We do not process payment card information directly and cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple.

4.5 Restore purchases

If you reinstall the App or use a new device, you may restore prior purchases using the “Restore purchases” option in the App, subject to Apple’s and our subscription provider’s policies.

5. Your data and responsibilities

Procedure, patient, practice, and earnings data you enter is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for:

  • Backing up data you wish to preserve
  • Using the App in compliance with applicable privacy, healthcare, and employment laws
  • Obtaining any required consents before entering third-party personal information (such as patient names or phone numbers)
  • Securing your device against unauthorized access

We are not responsible for loss of local data due to device failure, app deletion, operating system updates, or user error.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App
  • Circumvent subscription or access controls
  • Upload or distribute malware or harmful code
  • Use the App in a way that infringes the rights of others

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, trademarks, and content (excluding your user-entered data), is owned by Milky Way Labs or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or internal professional use in accordance with these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase (authentication), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Apple (sign-in and billing), and optionally Google (sign-in). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that earnings calculations or analytics will be accurate for tax, payroll, billing, or compliance purposes. You should verify financial and professional information independently.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MILKY WAY LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Milky Way Labs from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your user-entered data, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version at www.milkywaylabs.ai/ecosystem/praxis/terms and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
